Part 4: The Hidden Threat
The deep, mysterious voice echoed in the cave.
Mystery Voice: “You have found the secret of the desert camels… but will you survive?”
Zafar and Amara froze. The cave was dimly lit by the strange blue glow from the walls. The massive iron door in front of them stood firm, its camel-eye engraving shining faintly.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed through the cave. Someone was coming.
Zafar reached for his dagger, while Amara pulled out a small desert knife.
Zafar: “Show yourself!”
From the darkness, an old man with a long white beard stepped forward. His eyes were wise but tired.
Old Man Azeem: “Lower your weapons, travelers. I mean no harm.”
Zafar and Amara exchanged confused looks.
Amara: “Who are you? And what is this place?”
The old man sighed and touched the iron door.
Old Man Azeem: “This is Zahira, the lost city of the desert. And I am its last guardian.”
Part 5: The Truth About the Camels
Zafar stepped closer.
Zafar: “What happened here? Why are camels disappearing?”
Azeem looked at them and spoke in a low, serious tone.
Old Man Azeem: “Long ago, Zahira was a thriving city, ruled by wise camel traders. The camels here were not ordinary – they could sense danger, find lost travelers, and even protect the weak.”
Amara’s eyes widened.
Amara: “That’s why they are disappearing! Someone is taking them for their abilities.”
Azeem nodded.
Old Man Azeem: “The Sand Raiders, a group of desert thieves, are stealing the camels and using them to control the trade routes. They have built an underground tunnel network to capture them.”
Zafar clenched his fists.
Zafar: “We have to stop them.”
Azeem stepped forward and pressed a hidden stone on the iron door. With a loud creaking sound, the door slowly opened, revealing a dark passageway leading deep into the earth.
Old Man Azeem: “Then be ready… because they are already watching you.”
Part 6: The Trap
As soon as Zafar and Amara stepped inside, the door slammed shut behind them!
Amara: “It’s a trap!”
Suddenly, torches lit up along the walls, revealing a group of masked men standing in the shadows. They were the Sand Raiders.
One of them stepped forward. He was tall, with a scar on his left eye and a golden dagger in his hand.
Raider Leader: “Welcome, travelers. You have come too far… now, you will never leave.”
The raiders drew their weapons, surrounding Zafar and Amara.
Zafar gritted his teeth. “We’ll see about that.”
Amara pulled a small pouch from her belt and threw it to the ground. A thick smoke filled the air, blinding the raiders.
Amara: “RUN!”
They sprinted down the passageway as the Sand Raiders shouted and coughed behind them.
But just as they thought they were safe, the ground beneath them gave way—and they fell into darkness once again.
